ANother that one has to worry about. How many go up a line size, BECAUSE it is easier on the hands, only to find out the previous owner did the same, so now you are trying to be two sizes bigger in diam than speced.......oh boy!

ANyway, not a fan of sta-set or some of the other equals. Many seem to be somewhat spongy, in that they can soak up water. Be it rain or sray/waves etc getting on the boat. So sometimes the smaller diam higher tech lines are better from this standpoint. I do not know too many that like wet cold hands, especially if one can sail in the winter months like I can, in upper 20-low 40F temps.
