There should be a gasket as well in that joint, or at least I think so. Also may be some gaps between the window frame and the cabintop you aren''t catching. Why not go to the Sailnet email list for Pearson and the P-34 (they have their own email list) and ask there? Lots of chat lately on the Pearson list about port leaks, gaskets, caulking, etc. Some folks had the same problem after removing the ports, and it turned out to be some small gaps they simply caulked to stop the leaks.
