Jay -- That is a definite possibility but some of the big tour boats tie up there and get real testy if some boater hogs their spot when they are trying to come in. I also have been yelled at there while being picked up.
I agree with the others to avoid the academy. Security is much tighter there than in the past and I don't think they'll cooperate with you much. Somewhere along Ego Alley is probably the easiest, especially this time of year.
