My C&C 34+ is listed as a shoal keel. It is however a wing keel that has a shoal draft of approx 5''6". What you may be seeing is more a referrance to draft than keel desing. Look the boats up on the internet to find out what actual keel designs came with the boat. The broker should be able to tell you with a phone call.
