double bed in a Columbia 24
Great Thread!
We circumnavigated in 'Tola' our 'weekender' Columbia 24. I found that if I filled in the fore peak area where the portapotty originally went, I could stretch out my 6' 2" body. Forward I built lockers on either side leaving a space amidships to crawl forward to the chain locker. That left just enough room for me and my petite wife to sleep athwartships. Granted we slept close together, but hey, we were in love! Learn more about the boat at:
