I am not a misfit
I am not a misfit and stop calling my wife one!
True we live on a boat.
It is also true we are too cheap to tie to a dock.
True we tap into other people's Wi-Fi when we can.
It is true that we attempt to keep our tax burden low. (Doesn't everyone?)
True people look at us weirdly when we walk down the street.
It is true that in winter showers become scarce.
True we love each other very much.
It is true we have time to love each other 24 hours a day.
True we love to sail.
It is true we have sailed to 79 different countries. (count them in the book)
True our son grew up in this life and is a great kid.
It is true we are still on our honeymoon after 20 years.
It is not true that I am a misfit. I have spent my life fitting into the world and getting the world to fit to me. Misfits spend their lives working and then throw themselves out of windows.
Misfits watch 8 hours of TV a day.
Misfits get so wound up they shoot people.
Misfits cry when they are alone.
Misfits live lives of quiet desperation. (OK, I stole that!)
Let's not be misfits.
This weekend lets all go and anchor out and celebrate our un-misfit-ness.
