Now that I have logged about 100 ours sailing the Catalina 350, I can quite honestly say that this ship is far from a "marina queen". The boat is fast, responsive, and loves a stiff breeze. It does have good visability from the helm. (I usually sit on the lee side anyway with just two fingers on the helm). When at dock, she has a lot of livability and provides a nice cozy living environment.
Folks.. yes the boat shows well. She is impressive to look at at the dealership. The nicest feature of the Catalina 350 is to sail one. Just so you know.. I sold C&C, J/Boat and Cape Dory and Owned a Lapworth designed Cal.
The $124,00 price you were quoted is good. Mine came in at about $128,000 with a $112,00 base price prior to freight and so forth.
