bit2ski - thanks, I'm getting there (post #9). I'll go take a look at the 48north article, that sounds like fun - although for what we're doing (lake sailing and teaching kids to sail) what we have works well even if it isn't the speediest boat out there (we have an assortment of hobies and other small but fast boats if they want to do that).
