I am considering a
wheel autopilot. They are rated to boats of 40'' but the displacement is way lower then my boat. My steering is very light, can be done with just a gentle touch. Why do the manufacturers have a maximum displacement limit? It seems to me the equipment would work with what I have? Used self-steering gear is about the same cost, maybe thats the answer?
