There are a lot of rats in Victoria (lots of waterfront), and a friend of ours has a real mouser. Two nights ago, the cat brought rat into Aly's bedroom and proceeded to eat it on her bed (she has brought in rats before). Aly is terrified of rats so she just huddled under her blankets and listened to the gnawing and snap of bones in the dark. The next morning she had to open her eyes eventually, and found the head and tail left.
