It''s a lot easier to use a cruising chute short handed than a symetrical, unless you''re boat handling skills are way up there.
It also would depend on your
rig - on my boat you''ve got seperate sheets and guys to worry about on the symetrical.
With the Asym gennaker, no pole = no guy, also no downhaul, no dipping. My wife and I can handle it just fine. There''s no way I''d try to fly a symetrical chute off a pole with just the two of us.
Way too many things to pull on.
