I recently purchased a new boat in NC and paid the appropriate sale tax. I have just been relocated to Puerto Rico and I understand that
PR would collect an excise tax if I keep the there - this amounts to much more than ther sales tax was here in NC. Is the same true of the USVI (i.e. St. Thomas)? Thanks for any help on this or sites I can look into.
