I am looking to speak with someone familiar with the racing in Tawas area of Michigan. I have in-laws in the Tawas area and I also travel to the nearby Presque Isle area for summer vacations. I have been looking for sailing opportunities in the Tawas area so that I can make the most of my time spent in this area.

As sad as it sounds I really would just like to come along as rail meat on any race weekends that coincide with my dates while I am in MI. I am willing to do more but I don't want to give any false impressions. I am an avid, though only moderately experienced, dingy and catamaran sailor/racer. I am looking to add some larger boat experience as well.

Also, I am looking toward moving to the Tawas area in the next few years and will be looking for an area yacht club to join.
