I expected there was a good reason for not supporting the keel.
This was the part I did not know about your cradle:
" . . .that cradle was made so that the supports are underneath the forward bulkhead, and rear bulkheads area . . ."
Good design thought to the last detail - as everything on your boat.

I know that the keel is not normally supported in the water (we try to avoid bottom) and the forces while sailing are much bigger (specially when sailed or raced hard in waves . . .) then just sitting still.
