I see little to fear from the meeting of a group of intelligent and powerful men to discuss issues that may concern them no more than I do my local Rotary or Elks organizations.
If a man learned that his wife had retired to a motel room, and spent the night there with his neighbor, I doubt that he would conclude that they had spent the night reading the Bible. Likewise, I think it's healthy to believe that the most powerful men in the world, who formed this organization expressly to exert their control over the world's economy for their mutual enrichment, are not thinking about what might be in the best interests of us ordinary folks.

We analyze, debate and scrutinize every word and every action of our legislators and President, but nobody seems to be the least bit interested in what these people are doing, even though they collectively control more economic power than any nation in the world. I don't know that they're doing anything wrong, but they have such a potential for wrongdoing that I don't think they should be permitted to escape scrutiny.
