Yeah, I was in that about 5 miles away but in water. I was off the boat but watched the whole thing. All thosetrees in the picture were lush, green rain forest too! There were 208 boats knocked over in that yard. Of the 40 boats at
anchor where we were tied up, 6 survived.
Thats one thing to beware of still, buying a boat in the caribe...a lot of superficially repaired insurance write off boats still exist. I know of one very nice boat that was listed with no mention of the fact that she had been totally submerged, holed and sunk after she was "restored".
Anyway...didn't want to dwell on old news...but thought the picture was pretty damn impressive testimony to the force of a big hurricane wind.
