A great site in general, but the events and perspectives around Hurricane Ivan is powerful stuff.
We were there last year and still saw evidence of Ivan. Ragged hilltops where the vegetation still shows damage, the roofless church atop the hill and other still-damaged buildings. Nearly everyone else had new roofs!
We stayed at the same dock that Camaradarie
rode the storm out on (for some of it) and being able to visualize the area while reading his log made it even more compelling.
