I'm switching my nav lights to Led but stopping there. I'll consider Led's for the interior when they learn to spread the light. The problem with Led's is that they are focused through a little magnifying glass to a very bright beam and to spread the light there has to be an array of them. The array just makes a whole bunch of little focused beams. Lamps spread the light. I was offshore recently on a boat with all Led cabin lighting and still had to use a flashlight to read the charts. With all of the lights in the boat on at once it was still not much brighter than a full moon inside. What a waste of money that was. I'll have a hat clip light the next time I sail on that boat.
