Lat's and Att's had a one page spread on LED's this month. One company (Bebe) out of Fiji selling stuff made on the beach (claimed to be popular among the cruising community) for 32 bucks a pop, not USCG approved. The other company out of europe (forget name) selling USCG approved lights for 200 - 900 bucks a pop.

Wonder why the ones from Fiji are more popular?

My Admiral bought some stickup circular LED lights for our cockpit (never mind that I have a perfectly operable installed 12v fixture).
They sucked, a blue skinned zombie woman pulled it off the ceiling about 10 minutes into the battery. We put it in a zippytied a string to it and dip it overboard to watch fish at night. That's where LED technology for interior usage is at this point in time.
