Geo - I have a couple of observations: One is I spent a week at Sunsail Club Colonna where the ASA is having this, and had a great time. You can choose to totally relax and forget the rat race for awhile, or go blasting about on Hobie's and other small (fast!) sailboats in the consistent trade wind that they get year round.
Two is we sent a couple of camera people with them for last year's American Sailing Week, and even though they were "working" they had a blast! I've seen the tapes, and everyone is having fun. The ASA crew works real hard in making sure there are quite a few activities to choose from every day. So you'll have things like learning to sail for beginners, to overnights aboard large Beneteaus for experienced sailors. Plus tours of the island, bar-b-ques and parties, live music, etc.
I guess that's more second than first hand information, but it sure looked like a lot of fun.
