Cam was kind enough to remove a tread I had started regarding a design I thought was this company's offshore model. I was wrong.

The Spirit 54 is probably the least suitable, with lower freeboard she's more suited to coastal and regatta sailing.
The Spirit 52 is a relatively lightweight fast cruiser racer but very
capable of offshore work, certainly much more capable than almost all
standard production yachts now on the market. We have recently had one
of these yachts in some truly awful conditions and it came through with flying colours.
The Spirit 56 is the one that was really designed for the job. She was
conceived and built as a true 'blue water' cruiser with go any where
Whilst both yachts are quite capable of being handled by two-handed
crews (single-handed is possible with the 52), the 56 would benefit
from a larger crew of say four for long-distance work.
We have a Spirit 52 at our yard as our company demonstrator and we also
have a Spirit 56 in for winter maintenance as well as another 56 in build. You would be most welcome to visit us at your convenience to see these and other yachts in build and to discuss them in more detail.
