I own a C-27 and would eventually like a bigger boat. I have four almost adult kids ad the extra space is much needed.
The C-30 is very similar to the C-27 but much more open. It has typically been considered a family cruiser. The 309 is similar to the 30 in the open feel. At 6'2" I would prefer more headroom, though. The 310 is designed for couples. The forward berth is great but the saloon is small. The 320's seem like a balanced approach to family versus couple for cruising. Some do not like the compression post passing through the cabin...but underway it may be a nice handhold. Money will probably keep me at a 30 but I think the 34 is a very nice boat that would fit our needs and not seem so much like "camping" (my wife's description of cruising in the C-27. Also, the newer boats are beamier (sic) and heavier which makes them a little slower but on the other hand make them more comfortable for cruising.
