I got to discover something about McGregors the other week. We needed to give an assist to one in fairly calm waters, but after a line storm had just come through. His electrics had packed it in, and it never even occured to him to use those big bags of funny white cloth that must have been cluttering up the place down below...
So he called the Coastguard....fair enough.
we are towing him in, and the boat is just waddling all over the place...does not take direction well from the nose at all. We ended up slowing down to around 4knots in order to bring him in upright. That is kind of a new record of slow for a recovery involving an intact hull...
