Texas or Florida Instructor / School?

Last year my wife and I took intermediate level cruising training at Colgate''s Offshore Sailing School located on Captiva, FL (Gulf coast island near Ft. Myers). That school uses Colgate 26'' boats for their primary training, so they are not quite dinghies. While Colgate''s school is not the least expensive, we thought they ran a good operation and were impressed with our training.

I''m leaving in less than a week for a liveaboard course (coastal nav and adv. cruising) at Florida Sailing and Cruising School which is headquartered in Ft. Myers, FL. I chose them this time since Colgate''s school did not have the exact syllabus I wanted for the price I could afford. I''ll report on my opinion when I return.

Good luck.
