strange design question
I am asking this question for my good friend Mark A.
Hypothethically, what kind of sailing vessel would you wind up with if you joined two monohulls together to form a catamarran? Lets assume that two catalina 27''s were used, the masts were left in place, and an 8'' wide deck was built between the two hulls. The steering would be linked together. Assuming the physical joining of the two hulls was bulletproof, what kind of sailing ability would this monstrosity have? Thanks for your input.
