I share your pain. I grew up there, and almost lived at Graves boatyard down the street, where my dad worked.
Across from Maddie's (and the sign never used to say "Maddie's", just an oar that said "Sail Loft"). But everyone knew.
Across the street used to be the the King's Rook, an old beatnik-type coffee house. The two crowds didn't mix all that much...
But I did. Good memories of both places, now both gone.
