Here are a couple of reasons
He had the sense to see that going into Iraq was a blunder of historic proportions
He is a smart and hardworking man which will be a welcome change from the current guy
He is a Democrat and has a far better idea on how to deal with the coming recession than just chanting "cut taxes"
The smears about his patriotism are just that - smears
