Try the canned corned beef (in the rectangular tins, not the mushy 'hash with bits of potato'). Not bad; they sell it in a 6-pack at Costco.
For bread; Mestemacher pumpernickel is excellent! Of course you must like whole grain rye bread. Normally I don't care for whole wheat but pumpernickel is great. It has an un-opened expire date of nearly 12 months; with no preservatives! They sell several other varieties; Longs Drugstores sell it (on sale this week IIRC). Tortillas are compact and keep well too; but you might want to freeze some for the long-term.
BTW- with all of that meat; the rye bread will help keep you "regular" Simon!
