Bardo - Are you flying in through San Juan? If you're not picky about rare/exotic rums, you can get 1 liter bottles of Captain Morgans and Bacardi in the airport for less than $7USD. Last time I was there, they also had a few varieties of Cruzan.
Also, it seems like Appleton's is available most everywhere in the Caribbean.
