Thankyou Jeff for your reply as well as your questions.

In answer to them , I am looking for a good learning boat to single hand on the Monterey Bay. My main focus is to spend as much time as I can learning not only sailing skills but all that goes along with owning a boat. I have a year , plus or minus, with time on my hands and plenty of water. I want to be able to stay aboard comfortable for weeks at a time , inbetween time at home helping my son make his way out into the world. My price range is upwards of 15 to 20,000. Goal is to also be able to take it downwind in to Mexico when the time arrives.
I have done a fair amount of sailing on others boats but now want to challenge myself with my own and am capable body wise to do so.
The 3 I''m asking about are all in my backyard and avail in my asking price.
One important consideration is that the mast steps(?) so I can take advantage of the upper harbor sublets.

Thanks again for your input.....I welcome more suggestions and encouragement.
