Yes , the bug bit back in ''84 when I was shanghied off a beach in Cabo and forced to sail for 2 weeks..its been itchin at me for the past 18 years ( sons age). So yes, congratulations are in order !!
Thus far all sailing has been done with wheel steering untill this season ... The Cal 29 I''m sailing on is tiller so this will give me some experience to compare. I do wonder as well about going a bit bigger... physically I am still capable ( having worked in the freight business for 23 years) and again spending more time on this Cal may help me assure myself of my capability.
The learning goes on and I''ll be doing more reading/research on the list you sent along...thank you!
