I like really straight edges on hoses and like sort of melting the layers of a laminated hose togetehr so that moisture cannot start seperating them,
For these reasons I tend to use an ANGLE GRINDER running a innox (stainless steel cutting) blade. Go carefuly and rotate the hose or the tool around it, remember you are half cutting and half melting. I really like the results in various higher tech hoses. The alternative for me is a knife and just hack and whittle till its right.
