I need some help...

Howdy there,

So my story is this, I'm your typical starving student, but I'm technically living on my boat although I spend most of my time at my girlfriends house. But next year both of us are moving from the San Francisco area to Oxnard/Ventura. I have a 1973 Cal 27. The boat is in good condition and from everyone I've taken aboard they say that the boat is more then capable of making the trip. But I'm fairly new to sailing and I don't feel comfortable tackling the sail alone with just my girlfriend and I. I was hoping to find a skipper to help sail the boat down but like I said I'm a starving student. I would probably be able to pay some cash out for the service on top of paying for food and the other expenses that go with the trip along with driving the person back up to the bay area or whereever they live.

Does anyone sound interested??? Before the trip of course we're taking the boat out to check the hull and everything.

And if anyone is I'm hoping they would be willing to do this for a reasonable cost, maybe someone wanting to do the trip just for fun or something...

Please let me know what any else thinks I should do about this.

I've checked the costs of towing the boat down there and they are definatly not in my budget so I'm looking into this.

Steve
