are you suggesting the broker acted as a "buying agent" as referenced in the Wikipedia definition of buyer broker above, or was he a co-broker...? You can clarify that by explaining who paid him for the services he provided...

"Buyer" broker should mean something other than the seller's agent paid by the seller for introducing the buyer to the selling broker, still not a buyer broker...see the definition. The subject of a buyer broker comes up every so often, it would be nice to get a clean answer. several regards...
