Well, I first learned at summer camp about 30 years ago. Then spent time racing and sailing as a teenager. Sailed as a member of the OPBYC for many years. Decided I wanted to buy a boat about six years ago, and bought one two years ago... Took a sailing course to get ASA certified in case I wanted to charter two years ago.

Mostly, self-taught.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
