Congratulations on your new boat! It doesn't look bad to me, but then again I just recently jumped ship from an old wooden boat I lived on for 6 years. The "nonskid" you have growing on the deck makes it look bad but as I can see from the heart you drew in it it won't take but a day to blast all that off.

One of the great things about a project boat is that you can attack it with reckless abandon! My new boat has much work to be offshore ready but is all "nice"on the inside and I find myself hesitant with the big sharp tools. Never had that problem on the wooden boat. Whatever I did added character.

Enjoy! Fixing up a project means that everything is the way you want it, you know where the wires go and how to fix things.


PS I love how the bowsprit is being held on by the anchor.
