Unfortunately, I don't think Minwax is really the right product for the job. It isn't designed for high-humidity, high wear or UV exposure as Shortman has pointed out. I also don't think it will not be slick when wet. Ultimate Sole, which is a finish specificially designed for this use, is probably a much better bet. It is one of the few products that most sailnet users agree on...one other being the Miracle Metal Polishing Cloth.
