I'm not sure they would actually 'decrease' the value of a boat, but there are certainly people that don't want them and won't pay more for the boat because they have them. It's certainly my case. Then there are people (like myself) who'd like to be the one to choose the equipment to be installed. Were the PO's choices the same ones you'd make? Second-hand electronics are rarely a good investment...
