Sue, I've come to the conclusion that the original gaskets were form molded in order to make the 3" radius turn at the ends of the port. I've completed the starboard ports and inserted the locking strip across the horizontal spans of the gaskets tapering them into the curves. I did use a sealant placed inside the ends at the turns just inside the lip of the gasket where it meets the lexan. I also placed a thin layer of sealant against the 1" edge of the hull before laying in the gasket and a dab of sealant where the cut ends of the gasket meet at the top. My stainless steel marlinespike was a better tool to insert the locking strip than the plastic tool sent with my materials. I am very pleased with the outcome both in looks and integrity of the fit.
