What I'm doing: Reserve a little bit of bottom paint in a small jar and a disposable brush. Ask the yard -- once it hoists the boat out of its cradle -- to dab it on the four spots covered by the pads before they lower your boat into the water. Okay, it won't allow proper drying time, but some protection is better than none, and we're only talking about maybe 1% of the bottom surface area.
