The key in Alex message was when you are not using it for a while. Olive oil is the best thing to lubricate the rubber parts when you winterize the boat. That is after you have taken care of the
holding tank and everything is clean. Just a great lubricant. Ask any Itialian, or Irishman that loves pasta!
