That's a perfect description of the discussion from my perspective too.
I was over on Democratic Party Platform website last night. The Clinton deficit reduction was a major selling point, as well as the deficit increases under republican administrations. If I were a democrat, I'd be hammering that point too. If I were a republican, I'd be figuring a way to fix their image.
