You have to ask yourself, what exactly did Clinton do to reduce the deficit?

Oh yeah, he failed to get his wife's Universal Health Care plan approved (400 billion a year in unfunded entitlements x 8 years).
He failed to get perscription drugs onto medicare (400 billion in increased entitlements).
He failed to fund the military adequately leading to readiness and training issues. (I know, I was there).
He failed to fund the intelligence services adequately (leading to Somalia, bombing of aspirin factories, and reports of WMD in Iraq (Some people like to forget that Clinton was on watch when the 'intelligence' going into those reports was developed).

So basically, he failed. his way to sucess

Yeah, yeah, I'd say Clinton caused it.
