I thought it hilarious during a news report the other day how accurate they said the previous (last) years estimation was..............now I know for a fact they had to revise the numbers down at least twice I guess it is all in how you define "accurate" I've lived in Florida and on or near the water all but 2 1/2 years of my life (the remaining were on the east coast of US as well) and I have a hard time taking these peoples predictions seriously when they can't even predict tomorrows weather. I guess there may be a few who will become aware and prepare even though most will not, so it has at least that redeeming factor.

These very inaccurate predictions which seem to be pushing an agenda rather than making any reasonable predictions will eventually lead to even less preparedness among new comers to the areas at highest risk.
