Thank you Jeff and Bob for all of the thought provoking information. I need to digest all of this and perhaps reevaluate my list.
I wasn''t thinking of doing any off shore trips by myself. I hope to relocate as a liveaboard to the Virgin Islands and that would be the area where I would single hand. I worked on charter boats there for several years and usually the winds were above 15. So getting the boat to go isn''t a real concern, more of a concern is handling sails. I had thought that I could install larger winches, perhaps electric.
Goals....well most of all I just want to live on my own boat and enjoy life. Again, thanks for your responses.
