I just got back from taking my sons (2 & 5) to see the Texas. She is in beautiful shape with a new
paint job. I always enjoy touring that ship (any battleship for that matter) and was proud to able to board her. They still have special "hard hat" tours set up about 2-3 times each year. These are invitation only and you must apply to be able to take part. You get to go on a very long tour of the engine rooms and deep within the ship. Must be at least 12 years of age, otherwise I would have taken my oldest with me. He climbs those
ladders like a monkey now. By all means go see her again next time your down there. She is a fine beautiful ship. I have some great pics I can post of anyone wants to see her.
