Mitch - do you really think killing them makes a better recruiting tool, than seeing us give up? Do you actually think that if we leave, in the foreseeable future, it won't be seen as a victory for the terrorists? Do you think they will quit fighting, if we cut and run? And if they aren't fighting us in their backyard, whose backyard do you think they'll use?
The "world opinion" that everyone seems so worried about, will definitely be that the terrorists won. That the US, once again, abandoned those it promised to aid, and left them at the mercy of the terrorists.
