MAG37 is on a distinguished road
Beneteau 36CC upgrades etc

I have a 36CC and have found the following, which should help.

1) The anchor cleat you mention is a problem with most new production boats. The way around it is to by a anchor chain hook and splice 2 ropes on it.Take each of these ropes to the two front cleats then allow the chain to run out slightly so that the tension is taken by the ropes and not your windlass.

2)The cruising chute is easily fitted.Simply connect a D shackle to the front of the stainless bow roller and connect a pulley which is used as your down haul.A Spi halyard is also needed and your sorted.I fitted an additional jammer on the deck to take the down haul.

3)Seaworthyness-unlike most modern boats she has a 35% ballast ratio and an excellent stability curve. She is somewhere in the middle ground between a normal production boat and a heavier Halberg Rassey, and this is true for her performance also.Always good to be somewhere in the middle though!
Hope this helps.
