While the ABYC allows for the use of annealed copper
fuel lines they are, and can be, a poor choice on a small boat due to the sever vibrations caused by the small aux diesels.
There have been many
fuel spills due to work hardened copper
fuel lines that broke and then spilled fuel into the bilge which was then pumped into the ocean or lake.. this is where the EPA comes in..
