I was out in Cristobal 24 hours before it was declared a Tropical Storm, 18' seas, 38 knot winds off the coast of SC, and there is no way on God's blue earth I would have been anywhere but the helm at that point! I was motoring just off the wind, and couple of times had green water up to the dodger and over onto the bimini! With a 11'5" beam, it'd be way to easy to roll in those kind of waves.
